Day 9: Golden Days

We were young and army-strong,
The golden days were sleepy-long.
Strawberry Lips
and
Fearless Blue

Sitting on the sunny stairs,
building castles in the air.
Our hearts were bound,
Our hope was found.
And time can never change the sound.

But you turned Red and I was Gold,
in the windy fall that made us old.
We traded innocent for wise

I know I gave you winterwounds,
with snow and frost as my perfume.
But you still held me gently,ever-so-tight.

Empty it may be, my dear,
But love will cast away the fear.
Doors may close, and seasons pass,
but friendship binds us,
present....past....
